Flood-Prone Areas in West Jakarta Believed to Be Reduced

Vice Mayor of West Jakarta, M Zen, is optimistic the number of flood spots in West Jakarta will decline in 2016. This is because many drains have been dredged.

Indeed, there are many flood-prone areas in several areas, namely Grogol and Palmerah. But I believe it could be resolved this year

According to him, West Jakarta Administration was very prepared for facing peak of rainy season that is predicted to hit the city in mid-January.

“Indeed, there are many flood-prone areas in several areas, namely Grogol and Palmerah. But I believe it could be resolved this year,” he uttered, Tuesday (12/29).

Kembangan Utara & Selatan Remain Categorized as Flood Prone Area

Separately, Head of West Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department, Pahala Tua added his sub-department keeps normalizing drains in 8 sub districts.

“Yesterday, we did normalization in some areas, such as Cibubur Tambora, Sunrise Garden Jalan Panjang, Kamal Kapuk. It will keep being conducted in other areas,” he closed.
